Royal Beach Club Nassau Review (2026): Pricing, Alcohol Packages & Is It Worth It?
If your cruise with Royal Caribbean International stops in Nassau, you’ve probably wondered:
Is Royal Beach Club worth it?
How much does it cost?
Does the onboard drink package work there?
Is it good for families?
We recently spent the day at Royal Beach Club — and this is the honest, experience-based breakdown.
No hype. No brochure copy. Just what it’s actually like.
Why We Ended Up at Royal Beach Club
We weren’t even planning on going.
Our stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay was cancelled due to high winds. We had planned to stay on the ship in Nassau for a relaxed day.
Instead, we pivoted last minute and booked Royal Beach Club.
And honestly?
It completely salvaged the week.

Getting There: One of the Easiest Port Transfers
Royal Beach Club is accessed by a 5-minute ferry ride directly from inside the Nassau cruise port.
You don’t leave the dock area.
No taxis.
No downtown walking.
Royal Caribbean operates multiple dedicated ferries, and wait times were short both going and returning.
When you’re ready to head back to the ship, you simply walk to the dock and board the next ferry.
From a logistics standpoint, it’s one of the smoothest port excursions in Nassau.
Royal Beach Club Pricing (What We Paid)
We booked the day before while onboard and paid:
$120 USD per adult
(Alcohol-inclusive package)
That price included:
Food
Unlimited alcoholic beverages
Full access to beach and pools
Important clarification:
👉 Your onboard Royal Caribbean drink package does NOT carry over to Royal Beach Club.
Royal Beach Club is a separately ticketed excursion.
Had we booked pre-cruise in the Cruise Planner, we would have saved roughly 35%. If you’re considering it, pricing it out before sailing is the smarter move.
The Layout: Organized & Well Designed
Royal Beach Club feels intentional. It’s divided into different zones so the space never feels chaotic.
The Chill Zone
Quiet.
Low music.
Relaxed loungers.
Calm atmosphere.
This is where we spent most of our time.
We were there during a windy cold snap. The ocean was rough and the air cooler than typical Bahamas weather — but the layout still worked well.
The Heated Pools (A Major Advantage)
The pools were legitimately hot — likely mid-90 degrees.
On a windy Nassau afternoon, that made all the difference.
The kids stayed in for hours and were completely comfortable. If you’re traveling with children, heated pools make this excursion far more weather-proof than a public beach day.
The DJ Pool Area: Fun Without Feeling Chaotic
There’s a separate high-energy pool with an elevated DJ stage.
The DJ was genuinely good — engaging but not overwhelming. At one point, my kids were dancing right in front of the stage, and it turned into one of those unexpected cruise moments you don’t plan for.
It felt energetic and well-managed — not chaotic.
If you enjoy a lively beach club atmosphere, this zone delivers.
The DJ perched above the pool was a cool feature at The Party Cove.
Royal Beach Club Cabanas: Pricing & Is It Worth It?
Royal Beach Club offers several upgraded seating options, ranging from daybeds to large private cabanas.
Pricing is dynamic and varies by sailing date and demand, but here’s a general idea of what you can expect:
Daybeds: ~ $550–$650
Standard Beach Cabanas: ~ $1,800–$2,400
Pool or Premium Cabanas: ~$2,400+
VIP Party Deck / Larger Premium Spaces: $4,000+
Ultimate Family Cabana: Can exceed $8,000–$10,000 per day
Important: These prices are per cabana, not per person — and they typically include admission for a set number of guests (often 8–12 depending on the cabana type).
Cabanas provide:
Dedicated shaded seating
Prime beach or pool positioning
Attendant service
A private home base for the day
For larger families, milestone trips, or groups splitting the cost, they can make sense.
For most families, general admission is perfectly sufficient — but if guaranteed comfort and space matter to you, the cabanas definitely elevate the experience.
As with admission tickets, booking pre-cruise in the Cruise Planner usually offers better pricing than waiting until you’re onboard.
Food & Drink Quality
Set expectations properly — this is still a cruise-port beach club environment.
That said, there were solid, fresh options for everyone:
Shrimp skewers (the standout)
Burgers and wraps
Salads
Kid-friendly choices
I personally wasn’t a big fan of the fish sandwich, but overall the variety worked well for a beach day.
The drink menu was strong, and the staff were attentive and consistently nearby taking orders.
Service was one of the highlights of the day.
The Shrimp skewers were very tasty! Served at all locations across Royal Beach Club.
Small Details That Matter
These are the practical things that elevate the experience:
We spotted sea turtles swimming just off the shoreline.
Bathrooms were clean and plentiful.
It never felt overcrowded.
You can leave anytime and be back on your ship within minutes.
Those details matter more than most people realize.
Is Royal Beach Club Worth It?
For us — yes.
At $120 per adult (last-minute pricing), it turned what could have been a quiet ship day into one of the most memorable afternoons of the cruise.
Would I book it again?
Absolutely — but I’d book pre-cruise next time to secure the discount, we had seen 35% off during the pre-cruise sales on the Royal Caribbean App.
Royal Beach Club isn’t trying to be a theme park or a downtown adventure.
It’s a controlled, curated beach club experience in Nassau — and if that’s what you’re looking for, it delivers.
It was a windy day, but made for some great backdrops! Kids had a great time at Royal Beach Club
